Expedition Overview

Khinalig and Galaykhudat are among the most remote and culturally preserved villages in Azerbaijan, located at over 2,000 meters altitude. Khinalig (situated at 2,150m) is home to the unique Ketish people, while Galaykhudat, nestled at the foothills of the Gizilgaya plateau, is a rare Turkic-inhabited highland village. This hike offers unparalleled views of the Tufandag (4,191m) and Gizilgaya (3,750m) ranges.
